         FEBRUARY 2012

THEME

Our theme this month is ANIMALS - domestic and wild, mothers and babies. The children will be introduced to lots of new vocabulary. Our colour is yellow and our shape is a heart. Remember it is important to talk to your child at home about their school experiences.

Visitor

The children will be visited by a representative from the Avian Care Trust Wildlife Centre during the month of                      February(Date still to be confirmed). The children will have an opportunity to see and touch -if they wish, a selection of animals including: a hedgehog, rabbit, baby fox and an owl. This is a very exciting experience for your child.  We would be grateful if you could donate some food e.g. carrots, lettuce, fruit, dog/cat food or stale bread for the animals centre.  Thank you

MID-TERM BREAK

The school will be CLOSED on the following dates:

 Monday 13th – 17th February

School re-opens Monday 20th February

SICKNESS

There has been a lot of sickness in the school recently, please keep your child at home if they are unwell.

SCRAP ART

Please continue to supply us with small cardboard boxes for the creative art work. We would also greatly appreciate wool, tin foil, buttons bottle tops and/or elastic bands. However, please make sure all boxes sent into school with your child are empty! Please do not send in toilet roll holders.

Happy 4TH Birthday
